Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor leads the plant’s maintenance function to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role plans, directs, and improves preventive and corrective maintenance across production equipment and facility systems to maximize uptime, performance, and product quality. Responsibilities include coordinating daily maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, corrective), prioritizing repairs, evaluating modifications and process improvements, conducting root-cause analysis for downtime, troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical/control issues, developing maintenance procedures and work instructions, procuring parts and coordinating contractor support, supporting safety and environmental programs, mentoring maintenance and operations staff, and partnering with Operations and Operational Excellence on lean initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field
- Typically 4+ years of relevant maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial experience
- Experience leading maintenance activities or teams
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, instrumentation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer-controlled systems
- Experience with installation, assembly, disassembly, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues in a manufacturing environment
- Strong planning, organization, and project management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership teams
- Demonstrated leadership ability including coaching and directing work
