Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Plan, oversee, and coordinate activities for the development, design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Direct maintenance activities for plant, property, and equipment systems while managing the Preventative Maintenance system and establishing spares inventory to support operational needs. Supervise and direct the maintenance team, providing day-to-day direction, training, and leadership in identifying cost-saving opportunities. Train staff and operations on effective equipment operation and define optimized procedures for setup, run, and maintenance. Prepare request for quotations, bid sheets, and contracts for upgrades, and manage project implementation for plant improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with responsibilities for equipment, facilities, and safety support
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
Desired Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with third party contractors and suppliers
- Experience with Preventative Maintenance, CAD, and Project Management Software
- Effective communicator, both oral and written
- Proven ability to develop and implement facility and equipment solutions that reduce cost, improve efficiency, and insure alignment with local, federal, and company safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analysis multiple variables and define practical solutions
- Ability to set priorities for multiple projects and equipment breakdowns
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, automated process equipment, engineering, and maintenance principles
- Demonstrated ability to supervise supporting personnel and work cross-functionally at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain safety programs
