Maintenance Supervisor (Afternoons 3pm-11:00pm)

Job Summary
Lead and support the afternoon shift maintenance team of electricians, millwrights, and power engineers by assigning work orders, conducting shift handovers, and ensuring safe completion of all tasks. Coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance activities with production to minimize downtime while managing contractor work and monitoring housekeeping standards. Champion safety compliance by investigating incidents and administering company policies and the collective agreement. Prepare reports, approve employee time, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department. This afternoon role (3pm-11pm) requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial facility
- 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership role that required coaching, guiding and training team members
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required coordinating maintenance activities, and effectively delegate work assignments
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment troubleshooting
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Millwright or Industrial Electrician
- Previous supervisory experience within a unionized manufacturing environment
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities across multiple skilled trades, including mechanical, electrical, utilities, or power engineering teams
- Familiarity with CMMS/work order management systems and continuous improvement practices is an asset
