Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day maintenance for facilities and equipment on the 3rd shift; lead the Maintenance Department to complete fueling, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown/repair maintenance. Emphasize safe work practices; maintain a clean environment; coordinate with operations and management for direction; provide daily reports; organize and assign maintenance tasks to crews; manage overtime and vacations with GSV approval; document safety, environmental, quality issues and report to GSV; maintain union relations per the collective bargaining agreement; monitor downtime and require RCA for extended downtime; keep work-in-front of the team and ensure timely completion of PMs and work orders; identify opportunities to improve safety, processes, and maintenance activities. Knowledge and skills include associate degree or equivalent, 5+ years in maintenance supervision, safety and maintenance practices, equipment knowledge, and strong interpersonal/communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in related field required or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory role
- Knowledge of safety, maintenance practices, knowledge of equipment and machinery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
