Job Summary
Direct the on-shift maintenance team to maximize plant operations in Michigan Milk Producers Association’s dairy processing facilities, overseeing automation controls, refrigeration and boiler systems, HVAC, and a range of processing equipment. Responsible for leading downtime response, managing work orders, maintaining preventative maintenance programs, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager, and developing training for the maintenance team. Requires experience with CMMS, automation controls, electrical/mechanical systems, and strong leadership over a multi-person shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline (preferred)
- Lead from the Front Mentality – Shop Floor management is a requirement
- Must be competent with CMMS systems, Supervisory control systems, Controls Logic and other programs that are specific to work environment
- Strong aptitude of automation, automation controls and control logic
- A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance
- Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, vacuum, and pressure systems
- Technical experience with industrial refrigeration and boilers systems are recommended
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
