Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor to oversee assigned maintenance staff and contractors at a Queens, NY facility. Responsibilities include supervising trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical; assisting Facility Manager with preventative maintenance of boiler/domestic hot water systems; inspecting elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers; coordinating outside contractors; managing deliveries of maintenance/office supplies; lifting and moving items; participating in fire drills and fire safety, and on-call emergencies. Requires five years of building maintenance experience with supervisory preference, ability to exercise independent judgment, and high school diploma or GED; certificate of fitness for Fire Safety Director preferred; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid driver’s license preferred; vaccination preferred but not required. Required Qualifications
- Five years' experience in building maintenance
- experience in trades is helpful
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
