Job Summary
Develop and maintain a safe working environment through full compliance with Turner Mining Group's Health & Safety Programs, conducting regular safety observations, toolbox talks, and field audits. Provide direct day-to-day supervision of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and crews, including task assignment, technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and performance coaching on the shop floor and in the field. Manage staffing levels, vacation schedules, and overtime approval to meet production targets while controlling costs, and deliver leadership, coaching, and performance management to build team competencies. This on-site role requires a Journeyman's certificate or engineering degree and involves leading a high-performance maintenance team in a mining environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5–7 years supervisory/leadership experience in maintenance operations
- Direct hands-on supervision of maintenance crews
- Experience in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in planning, scheduling, and work management processes
- Proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control
- This is an on-site role
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman's certificate or engineering degree
- SMRP Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification
