Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive maintenance on residential sites, including inspecting units, performing repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting, and assisting with custodial tasks. Schedule work orders, coordinate contractor activities, manage stock control, and maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and inventories. Assist in annual and move-in/out inspections while ensuring storage areas are secure and lighting is adequate. Participate in an on-call rotation for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Adhere to building codes, OSHA standards, and safety policies while operating within physical demands of lifting, climbing, and driving equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more year's full-time maintenance experience
- Residential Property maintenance experience
- Formal training or experience in carpentry
- Formal training or experience in light plumbing work
- Formal training or experience in light electrical work
- Formal training or experience in painting
- Formal training or experience in refurbishing
- Formal training or experience in cleaning
- Formal training or experience in air-conditioning
- Willingness to assist with and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance
- Boiler license
- Familiarity with contract work hours
- Familiarity with OSHA Standards
- High School degree
- Valid Driver's License
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to work with co-workers and residents professionally in a demanding environment
- Ability to work safely and follow safety directives
- Ability to read, speak and comprehend work instructions and safety notices in the English language
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holiday and on-call hours when required
Desired Qualifications
- Residential Property maintenance experience
- Any college or advanced technical training
- Any specific certifications required by the property
