Job Summary
Supervise workers on major painting projects, structural repairs, and building utility systems including electrical wiring, HVAC, and mechanical equipment installation. Maintain plant equipment and facilities by establishing preventive maintenance programs, interpreting company policy, and resolving work problems. Prepare work schedules, make assignments, and direct ground maintenance activities such as snow removal and custodial services. Ensure all work conformance to blueprints and standards while requisitioning tools and supplies. Requires four years in poultry or food manufacturing with expertise in PLCs, electrical controls, and welding.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years experience in poultry maintenance / food manufacturing experience
- experience with processing equipment
- working knowledge of refrigeration
- working knowledge of PLC's
- working knowledge of electrical systems, both control and industrial wiring
- proficiency in Pipe fitting/Plumbing
- proficiency in Welding
- proficiency in Shop Machinery
- proficiency in Sheet metal
- proficiency in Hydraulics
- proficiency in Pneumatics
- proficiency in Electrical Controls & instrumentation
- proficiency in Automatic Equipment Operation (setup, repair, and tear down)
- capable of becoming Haz-Mat team qualified
- excellent communication skills
- good computer skills
- highly motivated, self-starter
- High School Diploma/GED
