Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and repair environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC, fire systems, and lighting to ensure safe facility function. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, pumps, motors, and food service equipment including ovens and refrigeration units. Maintain equipment rooms, operate forklifts and boom lifts, and respond to public inquiries regarding event orders. Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain daily work records. Requires valid driver's license, EPA 608 certification, and ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid California Driver's License
- EPA 608 Certification
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, peers, and the public
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to operate equipment, such as, forklift, boom lift, electric carts, radio devices, etc.
- Ability to stand, walk, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day
- Ability to work at the computer
- Ability to stoop and lift
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
- Ability to pass background
- Union membership
