Job Summary
Maintain a fully functioning and clean community by ensuring grounds, buildings, and equipment remain in safe condition. Perform typical maintenance support for the entire facility, including repairing walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and door locks. Detect and report questionable conditions to the Director of Maintenance while adhering to prescribed safety regulations. Stock maintenance supplies, keep work areas orderly, and respond to emergencies as per training. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more, utilizing hand and power tools common to associated trades.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds, to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standing
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Must be able to physically perform the duties of the job
- Must be familiar with and able to use all hand tools and power tools common to the associated trades
- Must be able to follow the Director of Maintenance's instructions and community work orders
- Must be able to recognize and implement basic repairs for the Community buildings and grounds
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Two years of experience preferred
- Experienced in a wide variety of trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical) and the tools associated with them
