Maintenance Specialist (UAMS Health Benton/Bryant)

Job Summary
Operate and maintain the low pressure condensing boiler heating water system and associated components, including pumps, electronic valves, temperature sensors, controllers, and motors. Conduct regular building inspections, make necessary adjustments and repairs, and replace lightbulbs, batteries, and filters. Perform a wide variety of tradesman duties, including general flooring and roof repairs, carpentry, painting, and plumbing; coordinate outside tradespeople and arrange pest control services when necessary. Complete documentation essential for the Engineering & Operations work order system and preventative maintenance program; may drive to and from UAMS work sites. Deliver items and supplies around the Benton/Bryant campus. Assist with all problems and emergencies relating to facility issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 5 years of maintenance experience
- Valid driver's License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting
- Boiler/Heating Plant Operation experience
