Job Summary
Maintenance Specialist II for Bronson Commons (Mattawan) conducts emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance across carpentry, locksmith, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Must have working knowledge in more than one area, maintain and upgrade competencies, document work, supervise on-site contractors, ensure life-safety standards, and support regulatory inspections. Daily tasks include preventive and corrective maintenance, ordering supplies, coordinating with management, and potential on-call duties; basic electrical, plumbing, refrigeration/HVAC work, and subcontractor coordination may be required. Strong reading/writing and following instructions are essential; a high school diploma or GED is required with 3-5 years of experience and HVAC/refrigeration certification preferred. Driving a personal vehicle for business use and maintaining auto insurance are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years experience and/or HVAC and refrigeration certification preferred
- working knowledge in carpentry, locksmith, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical
- Demonstrated mechanical skills
- Reading, writing and following written and verbal instructions
- Proficiency with diagnostic testing equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- On-call availability and driving requirement with valid auto insurance
