Job Summary
Diagnose faulty production and electro-mechanical equipment using schematics and manuals while troubleshooting electrical issues. Repair machines, identify parts for requisition, and maintain store room procedures. Train shift technicians and lead co-workers on assigned tasks. Walk storyboards through the work group to develop action plans for repeatable failures and drive line improvements via design of experiments. Maintain necessary records, established maintenance procedures, and a clean, safe environment. Provide 24/7 on-call phone support for team assistance. Operate motorized and machine shop equipment safely.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in a related field
- High school graduate
- Must be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Must be able to: Work an 8 – 10-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to: Climb
- Must be able to: Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms
- Must be able to: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to: Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to: Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving, establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
- Must be able to: Diagnose faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals, and drawings
- Must be able to: Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems
- Must be able to: Troubleshoot electrical problems
- Must be able to: Have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
- Must be able to: Train others in doing these responsibilities
- Must be able to: Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be ordered
- Must be able to: Be knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the store room, and observe the store room withdrawal and return procedure
- Must be able to: Demonstrate an advanced, comprehensive knowledge of the entire process from concept to commercialization
- Must be able to: Operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required
- Must be able to: Demonstrate ability to utilize standard hand tools
- Must be able to: Operate basic machine shop equipment
- Must be able to: Demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities
- Must be able to: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities
- Must be able to: Demonstrate ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems. Including but not limited to SAP, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft, etc.
- Must be able to: Understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures
- Must be able to: Develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses
