Job Summary
Maintenance Specialist I: Construction Specialist responsible for a range of construction tasks from remodeling visitor cabins (framing walls, siding, roofing, drywall, cabinetry, windows/doors) to installing or replacing concrete sidewalks and trails. Will operate equipment such as skid steers, wheel loaders, mini excavators, forklifts, and other tools; perform routine maintenance on equipment; read blueprints; supervise and perform safety inspections; able to work outdoors across Nebraska state recreation and wildlife management areas; opportunities for hands-on construction training and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade
- A valid driver’s license is required
