Job Summary
Conduct general building repairs and execute preventative maintenance activities across Coles Distribution Centres to ensure facilities operate safely and effectively. Respond to maintenance requests, complete multi-skilled trade tasks in building fabric, and coordinate with internal teams and contractors to deliver reliable outcomes. Identify risks, follow safety procedures, and engage with Distribution Centre stakeholders to maintain high asset standards. Perform hands-on work autonomously in fast-paced environments while supporting operational efficiency. Requires a current driver's licence, demonstrated experience in maintenance or metal trades, and strong workplace health and safety awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Current driver's licence
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance, construction, or metal trades
- Strong understanding of building fabric repairs and general maintenance works
- Ability to perform a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- A hands-on, practical mindset with a strong focus on quality workmanship
- A willingness to learn and become multi-skilled across a range of trade disciplines
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team
- Flexibility to work across various sites as required
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical
- Successful completion of a national police check
- Successful completion of a bankruptcy check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working across large-scale industrial or distribution environments
- Multi-trade exposure across carpentry, plastering, painting, mechanical or similar disciplines
- Experience working with maintenance systems and preventative maintenance programs
