Job Summary
Maintenance Specialist responsible for expert-level break-fix and preventive maintenance, and/or design of mechanical and electrical equipment improvements, as well as complex systems as the employee’s job specialty requires. Troubleshoots and provides technical support on production lines; programs and analyzes complex control systems; conducts predictive maintenance using infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, vibration analysis, and related techniques. Leads CI activities to drive process improvements and cost savings; sources parts and supplies; trains less experienced technicians; may assume project management responsibilities; may perform welding and machining tasks; travels as needed and adheres to safety and 5S standards. Requires High School/GED and an Associate degree with technical focus (or 10 years industry experience); Six Sigma desired. Salary range provided is $102,970 to $131,689.52 USD annually, with stated range; location is Chicago, IL, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 7 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 10 years of experience in specific industry.
- Proficiency in predictive technologies including vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Must be able to use hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- May be required to travel
- Six Sigma experience desired
