Maintenance Shop Technician

Job Summary

Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension. Diagnose multi-system issues using electronic tools and scan tools to identify malfunctions in fuel, aftertreatment, and electrical systems. Perform complex repair functions on-site and on the road, including line maintenance, welding, and fabrication. Complete applicable company training programs and adhere to safety protocols while supporting drivers on routes. Work a regular shift in a stable industry with direct supervision from a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 -7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to diagnose multi-system issues
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate technical expertise
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some of the following heavy truck, or automotive systems: Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions

Desired Qualifications

  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8)
  • LNG and/or CNG experience
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License
  • Preferred CDL B
