Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, and general engine work. Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication, conduct basic tire work such as replacement and tread depth checks, and safely provide road service to return company equipment to operation. Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and complete applicable company training programs while working under direct supervision from a Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
