Job Summary
Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies with hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering. May also perform basic tire work (replacement, rotation, tread checks). Works under direct supervision, with on-site and road service as needed, and receives training in new technologies. Must diagnose multi-system issues using electronic tools and complete applicable company training programs; contributes to keeping fleet operational and servicing drivers in the field. Safety, reliability, and quality of workmanship are emphasized as part of a community-focused maintenance role.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months.
- Valid Driver’s License.
