Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and control systems. Perform preventative and repair maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, air brake, and HVAC systems, as well as suspension, drive train, and steering assemblies. Execute basic tire work, line maintenance welding, and fabrication while diagnosing malfunctions using electronic tools. Safely provide road service to return company equipment to operation. Complete applicable training programs and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work a regular shift supporting drivers on routes servicing advanced vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License
