Job Summary
Manage shop maintenance and inventory operations, ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized, maintained, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems, including diagnosing issues, troubleshooting repairs, and installing new components. Coordinate with vendors for procurement, track inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and equipment servicing. Conduct regular audits, monitor shop conditions, and report major maintenance issues to supervisory staff. Ensure properties meet organizational safety, cleanliness, and operational standards while supporting annual inspection scheduling and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Four years of shop management, general maintenance and repair experience in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HAVAC and painting
- any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- Prefer completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical school
