Job Summary
Maintenance Service Technician at Arlington Properties responsible for preparing vacant apartments for market, handling work orders with urgency, and performing general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair. You’ll keep grounds and common areas inviting, support preventative maintenance and inspections, pitch in with snow removal and pool upkeep, and stay on-call for emergency maintenance. You’ll work as part of a property-wide team, enjoy active, hands-on work, receive training and development, and benefit from competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching, PTO, and employee discounts. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, proficiency in at least one major trade area, EPA certification preferred, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one major trade area
- EPA certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions
- Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members
- Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts
