Maintenance Scheduler

Job Summary
Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities and plant outages by scheduling and managing tasks within the CMMS and PDM systems. Prepare maintenance outage packages for planned activities while estimating costs for personnel, parts, and supplies. Develop preventive maintenance strategies, generate operational reports, and train staff on system usage. Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for all PDM data sheets and make detailed recommendations for maintenance issues. This role requires occasional overtime, weekends, and off shifts. You will work in a state-of-the-art OSB plant producing wood panel products.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills including the use of electronic filing systems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software including the ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of associates within the company as well as vendors and contractors
- Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies and instructions and implement in the CMMS
- Ability to recognize maintenance issues and the ability to make logical, detailed recommendations
- Ability to generate reports and statistics for the purposes of improving plant maintenance and operations
- Ability to train staff on the use of the CMMS system
- Ability to estimate costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to used during scheduled maintenance and projects
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical / electrical processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of the PDM system
- Intermediate knowledge of the CMMS or other maintenance planning systems
- 3+ years of Maintenance Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
