Job Summary
Conduct general housekeeping, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining restrooms while documenting all activities on log sheets. Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery, automotive equipment, pumps, motors, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical wiring, and structural elements like doors, windows, and flooring. Execute minor construction projects, roofing repairs, and drive center vehicles as assigned. Monitor the positive culture of the center, report ethical violations and environmental safety concerns, and suggest operational improvements. Maintain a well-groomed appearance and clean uniform at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five years of experience in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, carpentry, electricity, or general building and groups maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to promote the Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions
- Must maintain a well groom appearance, good hygiene and clean uniforms
- Must be able to work over time when needed
- Must be able to drive center vehicles
- Must be able to direct the activities of the Maintenance Workers
