Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Repair Worker III/HVAC responsible for advanced skilled maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and operational support for university buildings, systems, and infrastructure. Works independently on complex tasks and acts as a senior-level technician supporting campus operations, life-safety systems, and preventative maintenance programs. Responsibilities include inspecting, adjusting, and repairing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems; troubleshooting building DDC and pneumatic control systems; maintaining boiler room equipment and air compressor systems; coordinating boiler repairs and upgrades with contractors; performing preventative maintenance tasks; assisting ITM contractors and inspectors; maintaining inventory of spare parts; coordinating with trades/helpers; providing after-hours emergency support; and ensuring safety and compliance with state laws and university policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Five years of progressively responsible facility maintenance experience
- Possession of a valid Oregon driver’s license and satisfactory driving record or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
- Licenses or Certifications: Limited Maintenance Electrician license or greater required
- Basic computer skills (typing, email, ability to fill out timesheets)
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varied environments
