Job Summary
Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on facility systems, manufacturing equipment, tanks, vessels, piping, and packaging machines while adhering to safety regulations and GMPs. Perform testing including ultrasonic, vibration, and thermography on rotating and control devices, and manage spare part inventory through the MRO process and CMMS. Participate in failure mode and effects analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities to ensure asset reliability. Assist production with line-setups, product changeovers, and autonomous maintenance tasks. Work 11pm to 7am Sunday through Friday at the Delano pet food treats and canning facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must have special boiler license or willing to obtain one
- 2nd Class B Boilers License or higher
- At least three (3) years of experience with installation, calibration, fabrication, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
- two (2) year degree or higher in Electrical Technology or Industrial Technology
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 V
- Experience with fabrication and welding
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatics systems
- Experience troubleshooting issues and making repairs on bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors
- Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps
- Experience working with preventative and predictive maintenance
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling
- Willing and able to work in high and/or confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical License
- Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Experience with Ladder Logic
- Experience with VFDs and motor control devices
- At least three (3) years industrial electrical repair experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
- At least one (1) year of experience troubleshooting PLCs
- Good hand – eye coordination
- Willing and able to get along with others
- Good judgment and reasoning abilities
- Ability to drive forklift and pass certification exam
- Basic computer skills
