Job Summary
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance throughout the Lakewood campus facility, troubleshooting general repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work orders timely while supporting facility safety programs, including fire safety and emergency preparedness. Assist with required inspections, testing, and documentation to maintain compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations. Participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as needed and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized manner. Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance or construction
- Working knowledge of basic building systems and repairs
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong hands-on maintenance skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine, preventive, and corrective repairs across a variety of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Solid understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of following written and verbal instructions while working independently or collaboratively with a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to facility upkeep
- Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly manner
