Job Summary
Organize and maintain parts inventory, ensuring stock levels meet requirements while communicating with vendors regarding order status and delivery times. Process invoices for payment, issue PO numbers through the Radius Program, and manage returns of defective parts to arrange replacements and secure credits. Shop for the best prices and availability of parts, including sourcing proprietary components, and maintain the parts storage area to ensure organization and re-ordering. Maintain daily PO spreadsheets, the MDI board with KPI updates, and departmental filing systems. Schedule preventive maintenance contractors for systems such as chillers, HVAC, and air compressors. Process returns of defective parts, arranging replacements and ensuring company receives a credit for all returned parts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience using computers for data entry, record keeping
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing-related experience
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatics
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Experience with Radius, SAP, or other Production and Customer Management System
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
