Job Summary
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and manufacturing systems while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related issues. Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime, execute scheduled work orders, and maintain accurate records in the CMMS. Partner with Process Engineers and Production teams to identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance strategies. Train less-experienced technicians on safe work procedures and collaborate with cross-functional groups to improve equipment reliability and overall effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and manufacturing systems
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related equipment issues
- Capability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime
- Experience partnering with Process Engineers and Production teams to identify equipment and process issues
- Ability to support equipment start-ups, installations, commissioning, modifications, and process improvements
- Experience analyzing recurring equipment failures and performing root cause analysis
- Knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies
- Experience executing preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience developing and updating standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting guides, and equipment documentation
- Ability to work with equipment vendors and contractors to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
- Experience maintaining proper inventory and availability of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials
- Capability to provide technical support and knowledge transfer to other maintenance technicians and production personnel
- Experience training and mentoring less-experienced technicians on equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance practices, and safe work procedures
- Commitment to working safely and ensuring safety is never compromised for production
- Knowledge of and ability to follow all company safety policies, procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
- Ability to identify and report unsafe conditions and immediately address hazards
- Capability to stop work when an unsafe condition exists and communicate concerns to leadership and HSE
- Experience maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ability to lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across Maintenance and Production
- Experience supporting Production as an internal customer by responding promptly to equipment issues and production needs
- Ability to maintain a strong sense of urgency when addressing equipment failures and operational disruptions
- Capability to build positive working relationships with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other support teams
- Experience understanding production requirements and prioritizing maintenance activities based on business and operational needs
- Ability to take ownership of assigned equipment, maintenance activities, and corrective actions from identification through completion
- Experience completing preventive maintenance and work orders accurately and on schedule
- Capability to follow through on identified problems and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented
- Experience maintaining high standards of workmanship and equipment reliability
- Ability to be accountable for the quality, safety, and effectiveness of completed maintenance work
- Experience working effectively with Maintenance Technicians, Senior Technicians, Process Engineers, Production, Quality, and HSE teams
- Capability to share technical knowledge and best practices with team members
- Ability to communicate equipment issues, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly and professionally
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, safety, and production efficiency
- Ability to use data, equipment history, downtime information, and root cause analysis to drive improvement
- Experience participating in Lean, Six Sigma, RCM, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Capability to recommend process and equipment modifications that reduce downtime, maintenance costs, and recurring failures
- Experience challenging existing processes and seeking innovative solutions to improve overall equipment performance
- Ability to perform maintenance work to established engineering, quality, and safety standards
- Experience ensuring equipment is returned to production in a safe, reliable, and properly functioning condition
- Capability to support quality investigations involving equipment or process-related issues
- Experience maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring maintenance activities meet established standards
- Commitment to continuously developing technical knowledge and skills through training and hands-on experience
- Ability to stay current with new technologies, equipment, controls, automation, and maintenance best practices
- Experience supporting cross-training and knowledge-sharing among maintenance personnel
