Job Summary
Test and maintain water chemistry levels in all resort pools, spas, and hot tubs by monitoring chlorine, pH, and alkalinity while safely storing and applying chemicals. Perform routine vacuuming, filter backwashing, and equipment inspections on pumps, motors, and automated systems to ensure operational standards. Maintain accurate logs of daily testing, maintenance activities, and inventory levels while identifying safety hazards and coordinating repairs with Engineering leadership. Respond promptly to emergencies and support resort operations during peak seasons across waterfront, tower, and bayside facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills and the ability to calculate chemical measurements and ratios
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency call-outs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in pool maintenance, aquatic operations, facilities maintenance, or engineering
- Knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and water treatment processes
- Experience operating commercial pool equipment and automated chemical systems
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or willingness to obtain certification
