Job Summary
Maintenance - Plumber responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water and sanitary systems across the district. Performs wall openings for pipes, piping prep (cutting, reaming, threading), caulking and joints, and installs supports for plumbing equipment. Reconditions plumbing installations (sinks, dishwashers, lavatories, sump pumps, water waste and vent-lines). Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots water and sewer systems from curb lines to building interiors, including boilers, chiller, and rooftop A/C units. Requires completion of a Missouri St. Louis County Plumbing License, and a minimum of six years journeyman plumbing experience; high school graduation. Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license, and perform duties with safety and adherence to oral/written instructions. Background check by Human Resources is required. Term of employment is 12 months, with Salary Scale 2 Range on the District Maintenance Salary Schedule.
Required Qualifications
- St. Louis County Plumbing License
- Minimum of six (6) years of Journeyman level plumbing experience
- Graduation from a general or technical high school
