Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain high-pressure steam lines, condensate lines, and industrial process equipment while installing, troubleshooting, and repairing underground water systems, sewer systems, and commercial fixtures. Fabricate, route, and install utility piping for new plant facilities, upgraded equipment, and specialized tooling under the guidance of qualified journeyman pipefitters. Read complex engineering blueprints, isometrics, and shop drawings to ensure work conforms to local building codes. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and shape metal and non-metal pipes using industrial saws, mechanical threaders, and pipe-bending machines. Actively demonstrate safe work habits, adhere strictly to OSHA guidelines, and maintain job site safety using required PPE. This 4/10 schedule includes every Friday off with periodic weekend and off-shift coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years additional education and/or related experience
- Journeyman's licensed
- 2+ years of related industrial plumbing or pipefitting experience
- Prior experience working with high-pressure steam and condensate systems
- Must be fully capable of obtaining and maintaining a federal clearance under the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work a 4/10 schedule
- Must be able to work off-shift coverage
