Job Summary
Install, service, and repair wiring, conduits, fixtures, and electrical devices in an industrial setting while maintaining line integrity, safety, and production standards. Troubleshoot electrical and control circuits down to the component level, including 480V systems, and program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs using Rockwell Automation or Allen Bradley software. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to solve practical problems and improve line efficiency in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Work with the team to address both proactive and reactive issues, ensuring adherence to all safety rules and operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility troubleshooting industrial electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS
- An Associate degree in Industrial Electricity/Automation related field
- Minimum of three years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician
- Wiring 3 phase motors, starters, and other electrical devices
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, including 480 V
- Ability to troubleshoot control circuits down to component level
- Ability to connect with a laptop to troubleshoot, program PLC's and HMI's
- Must be able to program VFD's
- Knowledge of pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature sensors, and reading and assimilating any technical documentation to assist in the use or repair of any control device
- Ability to learn mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Experience w/ CMMS concepts and Systems
- Proficient w/ MS Suite Applications
- Monday-Friday day shift hours with occasional weekends and off hours as necessary
- This position is based out of our Beaver Dam, WI location
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry helpful but not necessary
- Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley Software
