Maintenance Plant Supervisor

Job Summary
Develop programs and processes for routine equipment maintenance while identifying methods to minimize cost and downtime. Manage maintenance employees to ensure productivity and proper training, balancing spare parts inventory against availability and obsolescence. Ensure work orders are completed timely according to priority and coordinate with operations, dispatch, and quality teams. Perform tests on new equipment, engineer safety into projects to achieve zero accidents, and address emergency malfunctions immediately. Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment bidding, disposal of obsolete assets, and plant audits. Manage capital improvement budgets and maintain key reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Additional training or education in engineering, electronics or mechanical curriculum
- 5 years maintenance experience in a high-capacity production environment
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Batch plant experience
- Experience with equipment selection, purchase and disposal
- Ability to read blueprints and equipment schematics
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Proficiency with basic math to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to plan and organize and to work independently
- Current, valid driver's license
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
- Knowledge of Concrete fundamentals
- Decision making and leadership skills
- Positive attitude toward employees, management, customers, & vendors
- Work ethic – punctuality, accuracy, and attendance
- Ability to stand and walk on wet, dry, even and uneven surfaces
- Ability to climb up/down ladders, steps and equipment
- Ability to stoop, bend and kneel
- Ability to reach, pull, push and grab
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs
