Maintenance Planner

Job Summary

Develop, maintain, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules for all facility and production assets using current CMMS systems. Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance schedules based on asset criticality and operational requirements. Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to production and facility operations while balancing planned work with emergency and reactive maintenance needs. Manage the maintenance backlog, prioritize work based on risk and business impact, and ensure labor resources, contractors, tools, and equipment are available before execution. Maintain accurate asset records, generate work orders, and monitor completion rates to ensure regulatory compliance and safety performance. Generate and analyze maintenance KPIs, including PM compliance, schedule adherence, and equipment downtime, to drive continuous improvement and support management decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, or industrial experience
  • Ability to walk through manufacturing plants, warehouses, or facilities
  • Ability to occasionally climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to work in office and industrial environments
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Maintenance Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of planning, scheduling, or CMMS experience
  • Experience working in manufacturing, production, distribution, healthcare, utilities, facility management, or industrial environments
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies
  • Knowledge of asset management systems
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling practices
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and facility systems
  • Knowledge of inventory and spare parts management
