Maintenance Planner (Regular Position) - Boston, MA

Job Summary
Plan and schedule resources and materials for preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure work completes alongside manufacturing operations. Develop detailed work scopes and setup forecasts for resource allocation, while overseeing work order compliance with FDA, DEA, and OSHA regulatory requirements. Improve workforce productivity by anticipating delays through coordination of labor, parts, permits, and specialized equipment access. Compile and maintain the master preventive maintenance schedule to establish operation sequences and lead times according to production forecasts or machine needs. Coordinate accurately between maintenance groups and facility supervisors/managers.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from 2-year college technical school
- Technical College diploma with 10+ years of experience
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning
- Previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare Industries
- Thorough working knowledge of cGMPs
- Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software
- Strong knowledge of work management processes
- Strong knowledge of labor estimating
- Strong knowledge of resource balancing
- Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
- Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures
- Good organization skills
- Technical writing ability
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Knowledge of the purchase order system and requisition procedures
- Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from 2-year college technical school preferred
- MAXIMO is highly preferred
