Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations of commercial kitchen equipment, warehouse systems, and facility infrastructure. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unexpected failures, document activities in accordance with safety regulations, and partner with external vendors on specialized repairs. Proactively identify hazards and implement long-term solutions to minimize downtime while ensuring all work complies with food safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role supports CookUnity's mission to empower chefs by keeping the 50 million meals delivered annually safe and reliable.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, or facility operations, preferably within a food production, warehouse, or fulfillment environment
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment and facility systems
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an active warehouse and food operations environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varied environments, including cold storage areas and elevated surfaces
