Maintenance Planner

Job Summary
Develop detailed maintenance job plans, procedures, and four-week schedules while entering and improving data within the CMMS. Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors to clarify work requests, identify spare parts, and establish job requirements. Support shutdown planning, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and equipment reliability initiatives. Provide technical support to millwrights, assist with troubleshooting high-cost equipment problems, and track costs for budget input. Offer supervisory support for mechanical repairs and promote safe work practices. This role improves equipment availability and plant performance in a cement manufacturing operation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical maintenance background with experience in planning and troubleshooting industrial equipment
- Experience developing detailed maintenance work orders and job plans
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Experience with CMMS maintenance management systems
- Ability to identify required parts, tools, manpower, and repair methods and accurately estimate job duration
- Experience with maintenance scheduling, shutdown/outage planning, contractors, vendors, and cost control
- Strong understanding of industrial plant equipment, maintenance practices, and repair techniques
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and other plant departments
Desired Qualifications
- Cement, lime, aggregates, mining, or other heavy industrial process manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Microsoft Project experience
