Maintenance Planner

Job Summary

Develop and maintain short, mid, and long-range maintenance schedules for assigned aircraft, components, and major maintenance events. Work with Maintenance Leadership to confirm work priorities, staffing needs, and realistic return-to-service dates while ensuring regulatory requirements like inspections and Airworthiness Directives are included. Build work packages, load labor requirements, and coordinate with Supply Chain to identify parts and outside services. Monitor aircraft hours, cycles, and utilization to identify compliance risks, then update plans when operational priorities change. Maintain accurate data in tracking systems and provide timely status updates during planning meetings. This role supports Bridger Aerospace's aerial firefighting fleet, including the largest Super Scooper program, ensuring year-round readiness for wildfire suppression missions.

Required Qualifications

  • Two or more years of aircraft maintenance, maintenance planning, production planning, technical records, or related experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in office, hangar, ramp, and outdoor environments
  • Must pass required pre-employment background checks
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Attainment of an AOA Badge issued by Bozeman-Yellowstone Int'l Airport

Desired Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Aircraft maintenance or maintenance planning experience
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, inspection programs, technical publications, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, inspection documents, task cards, engineering instructions, and component records
  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems
  • WinAir experience
  • Veryon experience
  • Experience building maintenance work packages, labor-loaded schedules, forecasts, or return-to-service plans
  • Experience supporting 14 CFR Part 135 operations
  • Experience supporting Part 145 repair stations
  • Experience supporting aerial firefighting
  • Experience supporting special-mission aircraft
  • Experience supporting mixed-fleet maintenance programs
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools
  • Self-motivation
  • Organization
  • Detail-orientation
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across maintenance and operational departments
