Maintenance Planner (1st Shift)

Job Summary
Coordinate and prioritize work orders, staff, parts availability, and maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement in operation and maintenance systems. Schedule preventive, planned, emergency, and outage work for the entire facility while developing weekly and planned PM work schedules. Investigate maintenance-related problems, analyze root causes, and estimate labor hours needed to perform tasks. Maintain technical records in SAP CMMS, create and audit PMs, and prepare daily maintenance reports using activity logs and trends. Work with the plant purchasing specialist to guarantee necessary parts are ordered and available for all maintenance jobs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum: 3-5 years experience in a maintenance planner role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- knowledge of SAP or other technical maintenance systems
- Knowledge of SAP/ SAP 4/Hanna/ Fiori or other electronic maintenance systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance work
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and fast paced change
- Ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement
- Able to identify parts and read mechanical drawings
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills
- Strong demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, Email) with a willingness to use tablets
- previous SAP experience a plus
- Able to accurately utilize measuring instruments, such as calipers, rulers, measuring tape, and micrometers
- Able to quickly learn and understand PM and other Maintenance activities
- Demonstrated ability to follow purchasing guidelines
- Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Associated Degree Preferred in mechanical or industrial program
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Six Sigma a plus
