Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, then implement effective repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management, prioritizing tasks based on urgency. Conduct regular inspections of fire alarms, emergency lighting, elevators, and generators to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, work orders, and equipment performance. Address emergency situations such as power outages and plumbing leaks to mitigate risks. Coordinate with departments and contractors for emergency repairs and renovations. Assist with guest room upkeep and back-of-house facility maintenance. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requires minimum one year of general building maintenance experience and solid technical skills in repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of general building maintenance or equivalent in a trade profession
- Solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment
- General carpentry skills
- Knowledge and use of basic hand and power tools
- Provide high-level customer service
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Follow instructions
- Ability to learn quickly
- Pay attention to detail
- Maintain composure when working under pressure
- This is a very physically demanding job that requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting and kneeling
