Job Summary
Manage parts and inventory systems to maximize usage and minimize non-used stock by ensuring all purchase orders are accurate and tracking charges from vendor invoices. Monitor vendor pricing and serviceability, prepare and ship parts to outlying facilities, and perform daily cycle counts of maintenance parts. Adjust inventory based on usage rates, operate a forklift to move and load parts, and communicate instructions to parts clerks. Advise the Corporate Parts Manager on inventory issues and implement approved best purchasing programs. Learn new technology related to heavy-duty vehicle systems and associated parts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous heavy duty trucking inventory control experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- SAP Web based procurement experience with OEMs and aftermarket
