Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, addressing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues. Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on schedule while inspecting facilities to identify early issues and report major failures. Respond promptly to guest requests, minimizing disruption through efficient, courteous service. Assist senior staff with complex repairs and coordinate with housekeeping and front office to support daily operations. Follow all safety policies, maintain accurate records, and properly store tools and supplies. Requires flexibility for varied schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability. Property-based role with no travel; hourly pay range $19–$21.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3+ years of maintenance, repair, or general handyman experience
- Hospitality or commercial environment experience preferred
- Frequent walking throughout all hotel areas, including guest rooms and service areas
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
- Use of hand tools and equipment, requiring fine motor skills
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to respond quickly to maintenance needs and emergency situations
- Physically active role throughout scheduled shifts
- Basic technical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Time management, reliability, and accountability
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
