Job Summary
Respond to maintenance requests and work orders quickly, carrying out minor repairs, decoration, and lighting checks in homes and communal areas. Act as the first responder for emergencies such as leaks while conducting daily checks to ensure life safety systems are working. Keep accurate records of tests, inspections, and engineer visits, supporting compliance checks like fire alarm testing and PAT records. Escort visiting engineers, monitor scheduled maintenance, and manage tools, consumables, and spare parts inventory in plant rooms. Follow all health and safety procedures, legislation, and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe workspace.
Required Qualifications
- DBS check
- City & Guilds Multi Skills Certificate
- Electrical competency certificate
- IOSH Working Safely qualification
- Previous experience in a building technician or maintenance role
- Knowledge of COSHH, decorating, fabric repair, flooring types, and water systems
- Familiarity with CAFM systems
- A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude
- Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving approach
