Maintenance Operations Manager

Job Summary
Directly manage Field Managers and maintenance crews to oversee daily, weekly, and seasonal execution of landscape services while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Optimize route scheduling and crew balance, forecast labor needs, and coordinate new property start-ups including route planning and crew preparation. Monitor Aspire service-line data, manage the division budget for labor and materials, and track KPIs such as gross margin, overtime, and labor efficiency. Partner with Account Managers to drive service quality and address customer concerns, while enforcing safety policies and overseeing vehicle and equipment readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, landscape management, or operations leadership
- Previous experience managing leaders and multiple field crews
- Strong understanding of commercial landscape maintenance operations, scheduling, production, and quality standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under tight deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
- Ability to regularly travel between commercial properties and job sites
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting field inspections
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching as needed
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with landscape management software such as Aspire preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
