Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all injection molding equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance. Execute preventive maintenance programs, modify and rebuild plant machinery, and wire control cabinets according to schematics. Provide detailed repair instructions to others, actively participate in safety protocols, and identify improvements to reduce costs and enhance performance. Complete all work within budget and on time, including special projects and new equipment installation. Requires high school diploma, four to six years of related experience, and proficiency with electrical systems, automation programming, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- four to six years related experience and/or training
- Industrial Maintenance degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance programs
- Experience with basic electric systems and schematics
- Experience with material conveyer systems and dehumidification systems
- Experience electrical systems and schematics
- Experience in programing automation equipment
- Able to understand machine manuals, blueprints, and hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Knows how to use a multimeter
