Job Summary
Check with supervisor for each day's schedule, then inspect appliances, replace furnace/air conditioner filters, and ensure door knobs and locks function properly. Assure the exterior of the community, including porches and guardrails, is in good order while replacing broken windows and verifying they operate easily. Monitor roof and plumbing for leaks, check alarm systems, and keep fire extinguishers updated while identifying fire hazards. Handle problems as they arise, maintain resident safety, and adhere to all adult care home policies, accident, fire safety, and OSHA procedures. Participate in required continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess relative experience or meet competency requirements
- Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions
- Must not have substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
- Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment
- Must have a valid NC Driver's License
- Must have had at least 8 years of driving experience
- Must be able to Lift, Push, & Pull a Minimum of 50 Pounds
