Job Summary
Check daily schedules with your supervisor, then inspect appliances, replace furnace and air conditioner filters, and ensure door knobs and locks function properly. Maintain the exterior of the community, including porches and guardrails, while replacing broken windows and verifying they operate smoothly. Monitor roofs, plumbing, and alarm systems for leaks or failures, keeping fire extinguishers updated and checking for hazards. Handle problems as they arise and assist residents with their rights under the Adult Care Home Residents' Bill of Rights. This role requires a valid North Carolina driver's license with eight years of driving experience and the ability to lift 50 pounds. You must adhere to all safety policies, complete continuing education, and maintain a clear criminal and driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess relative experience or meet competency requirements
- Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions
- Must not have substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
- Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment
- Must have a valid NC Driver's License
- Must have had at least 8 years of driving experience
- Must be able to Lift, Push, & Pull a Minimum of 50 Pounds
