Job Summary
Check with supervisor for each day's schedule to inspect appliances, replace furnace and air conditioner filters, and ensure door knobs and locks function properly. Maintain community exteriors including porches and guardrails, replace broken windows, and verify alarm systems operate correctly. Monitor roofs and plumbing for leaks, check fire extinguishers for hazards, and report on furnishings needing replacement. Handle problems as they arise while adhering to all Adult Care Home policies, safety procedures, and resident rights. Maintain a valid NC Driver's License with eight years of driving experience and possess the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess relative experience or meet competency requirements
- Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions
- Must not have substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
- Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment
- Must have a valid NC Driver's License
- Must have had at least 8 years of driving experience
- Must be able to Lift, Push, & Pull a Minimum of 50 Pounds
